    Robby McKuhan

    1. I knew that blacks and whites were segregated during this time.

    2. I learned that because of this blacks and whites had equal textbooks and education. Lynda Brown changed the way blacks were treated in the educational community.

    3. It was amazing that the poor girl had to walk 1 mile every day back and fourth to school.

    4. Lynda Brown changed the way blacks were segregated in schools.

    5. Good Wiki.

    What I Learned....
    Jonathon G.

    1. I was aware that schools were segregated black or white

    2. i have learned that the brown vs board of education case cleared racial segregation in schools, by that i mean that schools would be equal as in education, textbooks, etc.

    3. To be honest I really did not find anything suprising about this. mainly because I already knew that schools were not equal before this case.

    4. Linda Brown was the first black to be in a segregated school, and she changed education, and segregation.

    5. Overall good.

    1. I had very little knowledge of this topuc before reading this article. My little extend of knowledge was that I had known that this case overturned the ability of public schools to segregate and caused an outrage in alabama where the national guard was called in.
    2. i have learned that for this case to go to the supreme court the naacp had to be called in. They gathered over 200 other plantifs other than Lynda Brown.
    3. I found it amazing how they gathered over 200 other plaintiffs other than Lynda Brown.
4.From one of the links i found that a man also beat a lousiania company in a case to desegregate trains.

    1. I knew about the brown vs. board of education from last year and I know alot about it.

    2. I learned that the only thing that brown vs. bord of education really did was create a balence in things. for example if i have a water fountin and you have a water fountin then we both have water fountins and it doesnt matter if the water was diffrent we still both have water fountins. and the brown v.s. education only proved that and did not establlish the sence of equality.

    3. I found it supprising how the mother and the father started this whole thing and put their daughter through everything dispite the bullying and the other kids making fun of her.

    4. I did not know just like danese that it broke the 15th amendment.

    1. What, if anything, did you alreay know about
this topic before you read the wiki?
White schools were more effective then the black segregated schools.
    2. What did you learn about this topic?I learned that the descision banned segregation in schools across the country.

    3. What did you find most
    interesting/surprising/etc. about this topic?
I found it suprising how people could ever segregate schools and denie children the right of a decent education because of their color.
    4. Any other comments?

    3. I found it surprising that the vote went to desegregating the schools.
    4. I did not know that It broke the 14th amendment of the constitution

    What I Learned....
    Brandon C.

    1. I knew that Brown vs. Board of Education related to segregation of Blacks, but relating to schools.

    2. I learned it was during the 1950s and the main source for outbreaks were based upon the Jim Crow Laws. I also learned that all blacks were segregated in school and their facilities, books, desks, etc were all worse than the whites. The whites were superior to Blacks.

    3. Something I found interesting was how little girls, such as Linda Brown, a six year old girl, were segregated and it was like torture to little kids. They did not like it, getting all of the bad stuff in school, such as books, facilities, and desks; and I know I wouldn't want any of that.

    4. Segregation was eventually allowed as long as the facilities and objects, of Blacks were equal to the Whites'.

    5. Nice job. Good job explaining.

    1. Before I read this article I already knew that it was during the 1950's and it was about segregation.

    2. I learned...
Linda Brown was a girl who lived in Kansas and was apart of the Topeka school district. She was forced to walk 1 mile to her bus stop to go to her all black school. This poor girl was only forced to do this because of the segregation of black and white schools. When her father, Oliver Brown, tried to get her into the all white school which was closer to her house, 7 blocks, his request was denied by the Board of Education due to Linda's race. From June 25 to June 26th of 1951, the U.S. district court for the District Kansas heard and listened to Brown's case. The main argument was that segregated schools sent out a message that black children were inferior to white children. They were arguing that the schools were decreasing the African American children's motivation to learn and grow and just preparing them for what their life will be like after they graduate, racist and prejudice. On May 17th, 1954 the court made their final decision which was that schools were to be desegregated all over America. They exclaimed that "separate but equal" had no place in education.

    3. I found it shocking that the court desegregated schools and allowed black children to be free wherever they got their education.

    4. Thurgood Marshall was an attorney for the NAACP argued the Brown's case and later became a supreme court justice.

1.I didn't know to much about the Brown vs. Board of Education.

2.During the 1950's there was a lot of protesting going on about the rights of blacks. Linda Brown was a African American who was segregated from her school. On June 25 to June 26, 1951, the court heard the case. The result was that the court demanded to end segregation in schools all over America.

3.How one girl was able to change the law.

4.There were other court cases that had affected the law.

5.Good information, but could have used a little bit more.
